Cadets help out at first ever Brighton Marathon
We’ve had a busy weekend at the Brighton Air Cadets!
On Sunday 18th April twelve members of the squadron assisted with the first ever Brighton Marathon. The cadets helped with marshalling runners into their start positions and then spent the afternoon handing out goody bags to the finishers. Well done to all the runners who finished, particularly Sergeant Louise Dell of 225 (Brighton No 1) Squadron, who completed the marathon in 3 hours and 59 minutes. Well Done Louise!
The previous day, Saturday the 17th April, three cadets and three members of staff spent a day renovating the squadron building ready for our annual inspection. Amongst other things, they sanded down the bench, planted a garden, cleaned the floors, cut back the bushes around the squadron and created a parade area around the flagstaff.

A team of eight cadets also took part in the Sussex 5-a-side competition, coming 5th in their group. Well Done to them too!
